Watercolor drafts of the Thoth Tarot by Lady Frieda Harris. Two versions of the Atu I (The Magus), and early versions of Atu XVIII (The Moon) and the Knight of Disks. Found here.
I think I like the first Magus better than any of the other alternative versions (and perhaps, oh heretic!, better than the final version). I still wish I could find an image of the draft of Atu 0 that resembles Harpo Marx!
Wip of the colourisation… pfiuuuu! +___+
This isn’t somethingid normally reblog but the art style is so pretty
Who drew these lovely pictures???
The source is on the pictures, but the correct thing would have been to post it with the pictures.
I fucking love the first two and the fourth one.
Onmyouji art by Yoshitaka Amano (Final Fantasy).
So here he is- the Light Weaver - nearly five hours after the scanning process began. It took almost thirty pieces to create the print file and four and a half hours to stitch him back together.
The Light Weaver
The original painting is 24”x36” … The above is the print file and there is probably three inches cropped from top and bottom to have the original artwork fit the A3 print sizing format. So, there’s been a touch of wing at both top and bottom go bye bye.
The original is not for sale until the May Mind Body Spirit Festival in Sydney at the Darling Harbour Convention/Exhibition Centre. It will be offered for purchase at AU$5000.00.
Oh, and just so you know, the sigils woven into the painting are as follows - I Shine (bottom), See Beauty (left of bottom), and Love (top)
